Party Procedures - You must read Empty Party Procedures - You must read

Ok everyone, this is important, and recent events have caused myself & the Fellowship of the Admin to come up with this information.

We expect you all to read this and follow accordingly, when playing with the clan, and disregarding this can result in you being kicked from the party. End result being you play on your own for the evening.

In addition, i recommend that you also read Mando's Guide to COD4 Etiquette, as all members are expected to 'Do' or 'Don't' what's listed in there.

    1) If you are the first one on-line, and know you are a good host, then you will be the host when others join up. If you come on-line, there is someone already there and you wish to team-up and own noobs 7TRP-style, you message the guy already there and ask the words of the Mando 'Invite when Ready' or IWR. Realise that if they are mid-game, they may not be able to reply immediately, so relax and wait for a response.

    2) When you join the party, ONLY the host is to invite people. This stops 'spammed' invites causing connection problems for a new member. If the new member cannot connect to the host, the host can ask another party member to send an invite. If this does not work, its time for a new host. In addition, do not send an invite when the teams have 'split' in a lobby, as 9 times out of 10, they will be on the other team

    3) The host is responsible for setting up a Chat Room for the party. Non-party members can be invited to this chat, so they can be informed of any spaces, and can join when able. All members invited are expected to join the chat. Sometimes chat invites do not work, so if you are still waiting, message the host to see if one has been sent. Other party members CAN invite people to the chat.

    4) Chat Room etiquette is important. When 7TRP are rolling, we love some good banter, so this must continue. HOWEVER, letting the chat box take over your life, at the expense of joining the party is unacceptable. If 5 members are in a lobby waiting for 1 dick-head to finish writing rubbish in the chat before accepting an invite to the party, its very frustrating, and disrepectful to team-mates. One warning can be given, then the host is well within his rights to go into a game, without the offending fool.

    5) If the above member is not being a moron, and simply is struggling to connect, they must say in the Chat box they are trying to join, to avoid being tagged 'dick-head', and being left behind.

    6) Due to our impressive popularity, sometimes there can be more than 6 players wanting to represent. In this situation, the host can decide if they wish to take the 'Ground War' option and invite up to 9 members. If any existing party members have a real issue with it, they can leave, but they MUST inform the host, as rudeness should not be tolerated.

    7) If there is more than the 'Ground War' option, then there will be 2 parties. The host of the 2nd party, will be the guy who first missed out on party 1, and all the above rules then apply. A new Chat box gets started (members are perfectly entitled to be in more than 1 chat box) and so on.

    8) During games, due to the diversity of hosts, sometimes 'lag' can be a problem. When this occurs, people should say in the Chat box that they are experiencing this. Other party members can then comment too. If a mutual decision is agreed, all of you leave together, and find a new game to join, hopefully not hosted by someone in Brazil.

    9) Under no circumstances should a member just piss-off and leave his team-mates 'high & dry' without saying anything, then cheekily inviting them to a new game. Lag can occur at the start of a match, and then disappear, so jumping too early makes you look like a tart. Sometimes its entirely possible to have lag-free games with your connection yellow, or even red, so stick around.
Any 'shirkers' can then be left behind on future parties, until they learn their lesson, as its not fair on other team members.

    UPDATE 12 July 2009

    1) Party hosting is now subject to the following hierachy: Admins/Mods, then any 7TRP member, then 5TRP and so on. If the highest rank member has some connection issues, they, and only they, can nominate a new host. If a game ends, and the party is disbanded, the original host is the one who re-assembles it. We have had instances where another member trys 'hostile hosting' which means taking over the party. This should not happen.

    2) Poor hosting etiquette is on the rise. This is from feedback from clan members, who are now being asked to name names. This is a real issue and is highly annoying and rude. PLEASE FOLLOW THE PROCEDURES. The comments i have had, is that certain people may find themselves being deleted off people's friend lists, due to an inability to take note. This includes not picking-up clan members, spamming invites when a member is already in a full party and hostile hosting. If you get deleted you only have yourself to blame. You are spoiling people's enjoyment of the game, just by being an idiot.

    3) We now have a 'sticky chat' on PSN for 7TRP. Feedback has been positive so when you come on-line, always sign in here and ask to join a party. It's so much easier than trying to send messages. Dont be upset if you have to wait for a response, your clan mates are obviously in game. If you havent been invited to the chat, ask someone else to invite you.

This is all for now, any comments pm Admin or Mods, as this is a guide, not a discussion. This has come about due to real gaming situations, not cos i dont have anything better to do.
It may be updated if necessary.

We want you all to continue owning together, and by following these instructions, it ensures we are at maximum capacity.
